Contract Solution Architect – Outside IR35
Location: Hybrid (UK-based, occasional on-site as required)
Rate: DOE (Outside IR35)

SPG Resourcing is partnering with a leading UK national organisation to engage two experienced Contract Solution Architects to support a major enterprise transformation programme. This is a key design-phase engagement focused on shaping target architecture and defining scalable, secure, and integrated solutions across customer-facing and core business platforms.

The Role
You will play a critical role in defining end-to-end solution architectures aligned with enterprise strategy, supporting major programme releases and future-state platform evolution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing end-to-end solution architectures across digital, CRM, and integration domains
- Translating enterprise architecture principles into practical solution designs
- Defining integration patterns, API contracts, and orchestration approaches
- Providing architectural guidance on third-party and COTS platforms
- Supporting data migration and enterprise design catalogue development
- Producing architecture artefacts including solution designs, integration diagrams, and architecture documentation
- Collaborating with engineering, delivery, and enterprise architecture stakeholders
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments
- Strong background designing distributed systems, APIs, and integrated platforms
- Experience across digital platforms, CRM systems, and enterprise integration
- Strong understanding of architecture frameworks and governance
- Ability to produce clear, structured architecture documentation
- Experience working in large-scale transformation or modernisation programmes
Desirable Experience
- Financial services, public sector, or regulated industry experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience working with COTS platforms and vendor integrations
